2019 Kia Optima Trim Level Breakdown
The 2019 Kia Optima features a lineup of four trim levels: LX, S, EX and SX. With each trim building on the feature list of the one before, you can suit up your Optima with as many features as you’d like. The Optima’s most basic trim level, the LX starts strong with a 185-horsepower 2.4-liter GDI 4-cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. Front passengers in the LX enjoy an 8-way power driver’s seat with 2-way lumbar support and 6-way passenger seat upholstered with a cloth CleanTex anti-soiling seat trim. For tech, the model offers an 8-inch UVO Play touchscreen infotainment system with Bluetooth connectivity and standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The system pairs with a 6-speaker audio system comprised of four in-door speakers and two dash-mounted tweeters.
The LX also kicks off the Optima lineup with an impressive list of driver assistance features, including

The Optima S turns its attention to comfort and convenience. The trim level adds a cloth- and leatherette-trimmed seats, a 10-way power driver’s seat with 2-way lumbar support, dual-zone automatic temperature control and Smart Key with Push-Button Start. The model also gets upgraded to the UVO link infotainment system.
Reaching the S trim level, the Optima gets its first engine upgrade with the 178-horsepower 1.6-liter turbo 4-cylinder paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The model also adds to the mix leather-trimmed seats, heated seats, sound-absorbing front door windows, a wood grain accent trim, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assistance w/ Pedestrian Detection and Smart Cruise Control w/ Stop & Go.
At the top of the Optima lineup, the SX gets top-notch power with a 245-horsepower 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder engine paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission. The performance-focused model also gains a sport-tuned suspension, a sport steering wheel with paddle shifters and LED headlamps with auto-leveling. The comfortable interior gets sport leather-trimmed seats with red stitching, a 12-way power driver’s seat with 2-way lumbar support and a 10-way power passenger seat. The SX tops off its luxury-laden package with a Satin Chrome accent trim a standard panoramic sunroof and 10-speaker Harman/Kardon QuantumLogic™ Premium Surround Sound system.
